COOKIE Francisco Ordonez (Director/Writer)

Born and raised in Queens, New York, Francisco Ordoñez graduated with a B.A. in Sociology from the City University of New York. In May of 2006 he completed his M.F.A. at Columbia University's Film Program, where he was honored as a Film Division Fellow. Francisco's Columbia Thesis Film, "st. paul", has been awarded the IFP Audience Award, and Best Short Film at: The New York Latino Film Festival, The Miami International Short Film Festival, and the 24th Annual Imagen Awards, among other honors. His feature screenplay, ASHER, was a Finalist in the 2006 Tribeca Film Festival All Access Program and is currently in development. ASHER is loosely based on the short film, "st. paul." Francisco's 2nd short film, "Cookie," premiered at the 2010 Tribeca Film Festival. Currently, "Cookie" is an Official Selection of the 2010 editions of: LA Shorts Fest, The New York Latino Film Festival, Urbanworld, The LosAngeles Latino International Film Festival and Holly Shorts where it received Honorable Mention for Best Film. "Cookie" is based on Francisco's feature screenplay, WORDISBOND, a gritty coming of age tale set in New York City. Francisco now lives in Los Angeles where he has gained popularity as a music video director, working for indie and major recording artists alike. He has also directed commercials and industrials for ad agencies such as Cline Davis and Mann (CDMi) and Brand Addict.
